The Golf School Experience 

You may be asking yourself, “Just what is Golf School?”   When you make the smart choice to attend a Randy Brown Golf School you will be on the right track to perfecting your swing, lowering your scores and achieving the distances of your dreams.

If you are attending a multiple day school, your first day will start with registration and breakfast in the Black Bear Dining Room with Randy.   Over breakfast you will get a chance to talk with Randy about your golf game and specific issues you might want to work on.  Remember, Randy’s class size is always three or less students so you will have lots of one-on-one time with him.

After you register and pay any remaining fees, Randy will issue you a school notebook.  This is a place where you will make notes on your lessons to take home.  These notes, along with your personalized video CD will be invaluable for review after golf school.

After breakfast, you will head to school for your first lessons. After a little warm up, Randy will begin the school by filming you with his state-of-the-art, high definition, video equipment. He will then review your films with you and you will be ready to start working on your customized school program. Remember, Randy works with each student individually, based on their needs. It won’t matter if you are 37 handicap in a school with a 7 handicap, Randy works with YOU on your NEEDS. There is plenty of individual instruction based on your needs and your golf game. Each student receives equal instruction time. 

If you have chosen individual instruction, then get ready to work!   Individual instruction is great and you will have Randy’s undivided attention for the duration of your school!   This is an intense, high quality golf experience and you will see results fast.

Let’s talk for a minute about the Golf Lab.   This is the place where Randy will review your films on the computer using the V1 software program.  The Golf Lab is also equipped with bottled water and snacks. These are free to students.   You may also use the refrigerator in the Lab to cool any additional drinks you might bring.   If you have valuables with you, the Lab is locked when you leave for meals or to go to a remote practice area so you can leave items in the Lab and they will stay safe. 

Around noon or 1:00 school will break for lunch and you will again go with Randy to the Black Bear Dining Room.   Randy will dine with you and then give you 30 minute break to rest and get ready for the afternoon sessions.   There are rest room facilities in the Black Bear Club Clubhouse and in the Golf Lab.  There are also golf supplies and apparel in the black Bear Pro Shop.

In the afternoon, instruction will continue and you will start to work on some of the specific topics that golf school entails.   Lessons on putting, pitching, chipping, full swing, course management, uneven lies will all be a part of your Golf School Experience.  There will some short breaks in the afternoon and there may even be more filming and more film review.   You will love seeing your progress on film.   Randy also has a variety of training aids including his special “alignment” tool, mirrors, and impact bags that will be available for your use.   Remember, this is individualized instruction.   One student might be working on the impact bag while another will be doing alignment drills.   Randy rotates among the students and works with each person individually.

Your day will end around 4:00.   At this time, you will be able to play golf at Black Bear if you would like to.  Just let Randy know at lunch if you will need a tee time.  He will make those arrangements for you.

On the following days, you will start lessons at 9:00. Breakfast will be on your own, but you can dine at the Black Bear Dining Room if you choose. Randy will meet you at the Lab at 9:00 and school will begin. On days two, three, four and five, depending on what school you have chosen, the format is the same. Lessons, lunch, 30 minute rest, and lessons. The afternoon lessons will include Randy playing nine holes of golf with you or your group to help you transfer your thoughts and game from the practice area to the golf course. At 4:00 you will be free to play an additional nine holes on your own.

At the completion of your school, you will receive both your personalized video CD and a completion certificate.   It’s that simple.  Randy’s Golf School Experience is fun, fulfilling and guaranteed to improve your golf game.
