Travel Directions

Randy Brown's golf school is located in beautiful Central Florida near Orlando. The school is easy to get to and there are wonderful places to stay near the school. 

Orlando offers access to all the major tourist attractions. Deland is a charming college town with a lovely downtown and numerous state parks nearby.  Mt. Dora, also nearby the golf school, is a wonderful community with a busy antique and shopping district.  All of these places offer opportunities for fun for members of your group that are not attending school.

Making your travel arrangements  

Make your travel plans so that you can arrive a least  30 minutes before your school begins.  This may mean coming in the day before.   Travel times from North Orlando, Deland and Mt. Dora to the golf school are all about 25-30 minutes.  From central Orlando or the Orlando attraction areas travel times will be longer depending on local traffic.    

Randy suggests you use your local travel agent or one of the Internet travel sites like Expedia or Orbitz  to make your travel arrangements.   If you want to work with a local travel agent, Randy uses Kathy at Roseborough travel in Deland, FL for all his travel needs.

 

Local Driving Directions

The home course for Randy Brown Golf Instruction is Black Bear Golf Club in Eustis, Florida.  Here are driving directions provided by the Club:

From Orlando

* I4 East to exit 101C (route 46)
* Go west approximately 13 miles and turn right on 437 approximately 4 miles.
* Turn right onto 44A 1/2 mile.
* Turn left onto Lake Norris Road 1/3 mile Turn Left into Black Bear Golf Club (Calusa Blvd) golf course/ bag drop is on the right 1/4 mile.

From Disney World area

* Toll Road 429 North to the end at 441 in Apopka
* Turn Left on 441 approximately 2 miles
* Turn right on Plymouth-Sorrento Rd to end at Route 46.
* Turn right on Route 46 1/2 mile to 437.
* Take left on 437 to 44A
* Turn right onto 44A 1/2 mile. Turn left onto Lake Norris Road 1/3 mile Turn Left into Black Bear Golf Club (Calusa Blvd) golf course/ bag drop is on the right 1/4 mile.

From Ocala

* Start out going south on 441 to 42 east.
* Turn right onto 439
* Goto CR-44A
* Turn left onto Lake Norris Road 1/3 mile
* Turn Left into Black Bear Golf Club (Calusa Blvd) golf course/ bag drop is on the right 1/4 mile.

From Daytona

* I4 West to Route 44 West
* Go through the city of Deland and take right onto 44A 3.5 miles
* Take right on Lake Norris Road 1/3 mile
* Turn Left into Black Bear Golf Club (Calusa Blvd) golf course/ bag drop is on the right 1/4 mile.
